VallejoProject

VallejoProject is a community-run organization dedicated to serving the youth of the city through knowledge and skills sharing.

A central mission is to improve student outcomes by connecting youth to multi-generational enrichment and development opportunities in the fields of individual wellness, trades, and culture.

The vision is to engage citizens, of all ages, to volunteer their time and talents in service of all and especially the local youth through multi-generational educational activities. As such the aim is to bring together a passionate team of educators, artists, and community advocates through weekly workshops and live webinars.

Servant leadership in service of others is at the driver of social progress greatly needed in underserved city like Vallejo.

Game*Change is one of many VallejoProject initiatives. It is based on established wellness data and is conceived to promote the idea that quality of life can transcend a lack of social/economic privileges and expand social justice. More specifically it aims to become a culture of wellness that “hacks” away at misguided consumption known to be damaging to bodies and minds. Against our better interests such conditioning is sold as freedom of choice and “joyful” lifestyle. Can we outsmart such disruptive strategies ingrained in social norms? Game*Change attempts to turn such habits into drivers of selfhood, and generational identity.
